Dear Parents,
Hello! My name is Lauren Martinez. I will be student teaching in Mrs. Bruner's class for the spring semester.
It doesn't seem like that long ago that I was in second grade in my hometown of Covington, Louisiana suburb outside of New Orleans. I had many wonderful elementary school teachers who inspired me to want to become a teacher. So, here I am ready to begin teaching in your child's class.
I currently have a degree in General Studies and now I am enrolled in student teaching at McLennan Community College to finish up my Alternate Teacher Certification. This May I will be certified to teach Early Childhood through sixth grade. I am very happy to be student teaching at Connally Primary School. Last Fall I began substituting in China Spring, Texas to become familiar with a school setting. I feel I am ready to take on this exciting new challenge to help your child learn and grow.
I'm looking forward to begin working with Mrs. Bruner and her students. Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have. I look forward to meeting you.
